Boston Dynamics spinoff looks to build robots for entertainment

Dynamic Creatures, a spinoff of Boston Dynamics, is developing robots for theme parks and retail by writing its own software and sourcing hardware from Unitree, AgiBot and Boston Dynamics. The EU Machinery Regulation will require AI safety functions on such machines starting January 2027, and the French firm that originated this regulatory category was acquired by a Shenzhen buyer in 2023.
