Bot Detection Without JavaScript: What My Blog Measured

Network and request-header rules moved 277 of 372 browser-User-Agent requests out of the Browsers category, leaving 95 Browser HTML observations that still differ from 14 Cloudflare Web Analytics page loads. The analysis identified mis-handled HTML-acceptance checks and missing network-provenance markers, which were fixed, and highlighted a large discrepancy—578 versus 52 daily client identifiers—between edge page views and script-based counters, prompting a detailed comparison methodology.
