Bouncy castle launches horrifying MRSA outbreak, striking 48 kids in Ireland

A hypervirulent, multidrug-resistant MRSA strain contaminated three bouncy castles at a community event in Ireland in fall 2025, infecting 48 children with aggressive skin and soft-tissue infections. Thirty-three cases were managed by primary physicians, 15 required emergency care, and four were hospitalized, with all patients ultimately recovering.
