Building a backyard office, the build and cost breakdown

The author built an 8 × 10-foot backyard office using a Tuff Shed Premier Pro Tall Ranch frame, adding a ridge vent, house wrap, a fully lit door, a skylight and two large windows (6 × 4 ft and 4 × 4 ft). The project cost roughly $15-$20 k, significantly less than the $30 k estimate for an Autonomous.ai prefab pod. Concrete pad preparation required a three-week cure before installation.
