BYD doubled its 1,500kW charging network in five months and wants to double it again by December

BYD opened its 10,000th Flash Charging station in Shenzhen on 28 August, doubling the network to 1,500 kW-rated connectors in under five months. It aims for 20 000 stations by year-end, requiring roughly 80 new sites daily. The network has supplied 210 million kWh to 1.83 million drivers, with about one-third not owning BYD vehicles. Most stations are built with partners such as Sinopec, PetroChina, CNOOC, Teld and JD.com, and the first 300 overseas sites are planned for the United Kingdom.
