ByteDance is preparing a real-time spatial video model under Zhang Yiming, Bloomberg reports

ByteDance is developing a cloud-rendered spatial video model, overseen by founder Zhang Yiming, that can generate interactive 20 fps video with about 0.05 second latency for Pico XR headsets. Built on the existing Seedance platform, the system aims to let users create voice-responsive virtual worlds for live streams, short-form dramas and games, positioning the company to compete with Google’s Genie and other XR rivals.
