Candidates Are Signing a Pact Promising Action on Data Centers and AI Safety

Over 15 candidates nationwide, including independent Senate candidate Dan Osborn, have signed the AI Pact, a five-point pledge calling for mandatory safety reviews of AI models, an AI dividend for workers, legal recourse for AI-related harms, and bans on tax breaks, opaque contracts, and excessive data-center energy use. The pledge, drafted by the Political Integrity Project and financed by a progressive PAC, seeks a “humanity-first” regulatory baseline amid voter concerns about environmental impacts and corporate influence.
