CDC opens state ordering for COVID-19 vaccines after unexplained delay

The CDC has opened state ordering for COVID-19 vaccines through the federal Vaccines for Children program following a monthlong delay. Although the FDA approved these shots in late August, the Department of Health and Human Services withheld access while questioning the appropriateness of the vaccines for the program's target population.
