Celero raises $275m to bring coherent optics inside AI data centres

Celero Communications raised $275 million in a Series C round, valuing the Irvine-based startup at over $3 billion and bringing total funding to $415 million. The company develops coherent digital-signal-processor chips that encode data onto light’s phase, polarization, and brightness, enabling 1.6- to 3.2-terabit connections on TSMC’s 2-nanometer process. Celero plans to finalize the design, begin production next year, and target major cloud providers, competing with Marvell, Broadcom, and Cisco in the optical-networking market.
