ChatGPT now knows what you do on other websites via ad collector

OpenAI’s ad collector at bzr.openai.com sets a long-lived __obi cookie on .openai.com. The cookie contains a signed JWT with the user’s ChatGPT account ID. When users visit sites with OpenAI’s tracking SDK, the __obi cookie, hashed email, phone, optional name, and location data (country, region, city, postal code) are sent to OpenAI. This enables OpenAI to match third-party browsing activity to individual ChatGPT accounts.
