ChatGPT on Mac can now read and respond to Apple iMessages

OpenAI’s new Mac plugin lets ChatGPT read a user’s Apple Messages history, search past conversations, and draft replies that the user must explicitly approve before sending. Activation requires granting the app Full Disk Access, contact-list permission, and automation rights, and the plugin does not create an index of texts. OpenAI says the feature is opt-in and designed to keep users in control of their message data.
