China installs 59% of new factory robots as EU installations fall 11%

In 2025, 603,000 industrial robots were installed worldwide, with China contributing 354,000 (59%) and growing 20% to a record 5 million robots in operation. EU installations fell 11% to 60,500, while the US surpassed Japan as the second-largest market with 38,400 units. China’s domestic market saw 195,000 robots sold by local brands, a 15% rise, and foreign suppliers grew 27%.
