China put a 99.2% duty on a chemical chip fabs need

China imposed a provisional anti-dumping cash deposit of up to 99.2% on Japanese ultrapure dichlorosilane (DCS) imports, with Shin-Etsu Chemical and other Japanese exporters facing 99.2% and Denal Silane 80.8%. Announced 7 September, the measure follows earlier Chinese export-control actions on semiconductor materials and raises costs for domestic fabs, particularly memory producers such as CXMT.
