A Chinese court has frozen Nexperia’s stakes in four of its own subsidiaries

A Dongguan court ordered a preservation freeze on Nexperia’s shareholdings in four Chinese subsidiaries—two semiconductor units in Wuxi and Shanghai and a Wuxi equipment subsidiary—valued at roughly 2.14 billion yuan ($300 million) until August 2029. The freeze, imposed in a lawsuit filed by Wingtech, prevents Nexperia from selling or restructuring those stakes while the dispute over alleged discriminatory Dutch restrictions and 8 billion-yuan damages proceeds.
