CIA Releases President's Daily Briefs in Commemoration of 9/11

The CIA released 71 declassified President’s Daily Briefs, the largest single batch of 9/11-related intelligence ever made public, as part of the 25th-anniversary commemoration. The documents trace analysts’ evolving understanding of al-Qa’ida and warnings about Usama bin Ladin’s attack plans, revealing sparse and imperfect information available before and after September 11, 2001. The release follows President Trump’s transparency initiative and the agency’s most extensive declassification effort since the 2004 9/11 Commission.
