CISA reported that more than 100 internet-exposed water and wastewater facilities were hit in July, with attackers primarily compromising programmable logic controllers. In response, OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, AWS and over 100 other firms warned of an imminent “limited window” for AI-enabled cyber threats and urged coordinated defensive actions.
