Claude's memory now works across both chats and Cowork sessions

Anthropic’s latest update lets Claude retain memories across both the chatbot and the Claude Cowork agent, so context from chats is available when Cowork runs cloud tasks and vice-versa. Users can now view, edit, and toggle inclusion of sensitive topics—while personal identifiers like SSNs are never stored.
