Claude's new system prompt doesn't want to reproduce song lyrics

Anthropic published the system prompts for Claude’s consumer apps, showing historic versions and making them diff-able via Markdown. The latest prompts add strict rules that Claude must refuse any request to reproduce song lyrics, poems, or copyrighted visual works—including recognizable characters or logos—and instead offer analysis or original creations. These policies were introduced shortly after lawsuits alleging unauthorized use of song-lyric databases.
