ClickFix attacks infecting PCs and Macs are going viral

ClickFix attacks now target both PCs and Macs by compromising legitimate sites, overlaying fake CAPTCHAs, and prompting users to paste a single terminal command that installs malware. The method’s ease has led to widespread adoption, including by Kremlin-backed groups, and a surge of infections reported on Reddit. Casual users are especially vulnerable because increasingly complex web interfaces desensitize them to unusual instructions.
