Clipto uses AI to search terabytes of video and is now valued at $250M

Clipto, a San Francisco startup with teams in Singapore and Hong Kong, raised $15 million in an all-equity round that values it at $250 million. Its AI engine indexes videos, audio, images, meetings and documents locally, enabling natural-language search via ChatGPT, Claude and other models. The service, used by over 30 million users, generates $15 million in annual recurring revenue, serves creators, lawyers, doctors and researchers, and remains profitable.
