CMS with AI, Not AI CMS: Wagtail 8.0's New API

Wagtail 8.0 introduces a new opt-in v3 API that automates over 50 admin operations for pages, images, documents and custom Django models, offering a fully typed OpenAPI schema, Markdown-rich-text support, public anonymous access and bearer-token authentication. The API is designed for both manual and scripted workflows, enabling agents such as LLMs to perform tasks like bulk SEO updates, content imports and cleanup with minimal code.
