Cognizant put $4.5tn on AI job exposure, then hired 1,500 graduates

Cognizant will hire 1,500 U.S. college graduates this year and expand a new AI-focused job family to 15,000 employees. Its January research estimates AI could shift $4.5 trillion of U.S. labor wages to machines, with 93% of occupations showing some exposure and 30% facing existential change. Specific roles such as financial managers (84% exposure) and lawyers (63%) now score far higher than three years ago.
