Coliving startup PadSplit expands to San Francisco, New York and Chicago

PadSplit, a coliving platform that rents furnished private bedrooms with shared kitchens, is expanding into the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Chicago, partnering with the San Francisco Housing Accelerator Fund to activate empty units. The Atlanta-based startup, founded in 2017, has already listed over 39,000 rooms in 40 markets, housed more than 90,000 residents with a median income of $32,500, and raised over $34 million in venture funding. It offers a HostGuard protection plan covering property damage, zoning, liability, and resident removal to attract homeowners in high-cost cities.
