Console makers say buyers are owed nothing from their tariff refunds

Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are arguing in U.S. courts that they should not return tariff refunds to console buyers, asserting customers paid advertised prices and received functional devices. The companies cite refunds of roughly ¥80 billion ($510 M) for Sony, $300 M for Nintendo, and undisclosed amounts for Microsoft, while noting European price hikes occurred without any corresponding tariff refunds.
