Cop Explains Why He Used License Plate Reader to Stalk Woman

Florida officer Lamar Roman met a woman on the set of Apple TV’s *Bad Monkey*, illegally accessed DMV records, and added her license plate to a “hot list” that triggered an automated license-plate-reader alert. He chased her, caused a near head-on collision, pulled her over, and was arrested after body-camera footage captured his confession and the victim’s interview, illustrating misuse of ALPR tools such as Turing’s Guardian system.
