Dallas startup enriches Uranium
Actinide, a Dallas-based advanced materials firm, used its first-generation calutron to produce high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) at 15.38% U-235, marking the first startup-generated HALEU and bypassing the U.S. centrifuge de-conversion bottleneck. The company’s upcoming second-generation separator, Fortitude, is projected to deliver about half the isotope-separation capacity of the entire federal electromagnetic-separation fleet.
