Digital scans of more than 153 million driver's licenses leaked to the dark web

Cybercriminals leaked over 153 million US and Canadian driver’s license scans on the dark web via a service called Nexus. The breach originated from IDScan, a Louisiana-based verification firm used by companies like Hertz and Target. The FBI is investigating the incident, which exposed sensitive personal records including those of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
