Does your iPhone's Safari browser privacy features actually make you safer?

Safari blocks third-party cookies, applies machine-learning to limit cross-site tracking, masks IP addresses from known trackers, and removes identifying data from URLs. Private Browsing adds tracker blocking, IP masking, and automatic removal of tracking info from links, while passkeys and Apple Pay enable phishing-resistant sign-ins and card authentication. However, Safari cannot prevent phishing sites, does not hide activity from ISPs, and still allows data collection from sites the user directly interacts with.
