Don't panic, but there's a Playdate Update Showcase tomorrow

The Playdate Update Showcase streams September 9, 2026 at 12 PM ET on Panic’s YouTube channel, announcing Playdate Season 3’s games and release date, which will use Season 2’s weekly drop model. Season 2 launched May 2025 for $39, sold over 15,000 copies, and included titles such as Fulcrum Defender, Dig! Dig! Dino!, Fáyer, CatchaDiablos, Shadowgate PD, and Blippo+. Panic refunded U.S. tariff fees to Season 2 purchasers; total Playdate sales have surpassed 80,000 units, with the device out of stock online but available at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo in October.
