e is a tiny, fully customizable, self-aware console editor written in Chez Scheme that mimics Emacs features such as buffers, recursive window splits, incremental search, and an embedded Scheme REPL, while exposing its internals for live hot-reloading of modules. It requires only Chez Scheme and libc, starts in about 100 ms after an initial compilation, and provides app buffers, PTY-backed terminals, semantic multiline M-x evaluation, and meaningful undo/redo operations, all configured via Scheme code.
