Emerald AI raises $150mn at a $1.05bn valuation to flex data centre power

Emerald AI secured $150 million in a Series A, valuing it at $1.05 billion and raising total funding above $220 million. Its Emerald Conductor software schedules data-centre workloads, throttling or moving jobs during grid strain. A May 2025 test cut a 256-GPU Nvidia cluster’s power by 25% for three hours. The company has completed five commercial demonstrations in the U.S. and London. Investors include Nvidia, Siemens, RWE, GE Vernova, Aramco Ventures, Samsung Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, JERA Ventures, In-Q-Tel, and John Doerr.
