Emirates has wired a privacy screen into premium economy. The harder sell is the hub underneath it.

Emirates has equipped its new Airbus A350 premium-economy seats with a full-height privacy divider that lifts and locks electrically, a feature that combines existing fixed and manual partitions with a motorized actuator. The upgrade is intended to retain connecting passengers despite ongoing EU airspace restrictions over the Persian Gulf, where Dubai’s hub remains exempt but faces heightened geopolitical risk.
