Enterprises put non-Nvidia chips 14 points ahead of Nvidia's next-gen GPUs on their evaluation lists

A VentureBeat survey of 170 AI infrastructure professionals found 39.4% will assess non-Nvidia accelerators—AWS Trainium, Google TPU, AMD Instinct, Intel Gaudi, or in-house ASICs—within a year, compared with 25.3% for Nvidia’s upcoming Blackwell GPU. Azure’s production adoption rose to 47.1%, Google’s Gemini to 47.6%, and OpenAI’s to 49.4%. Enterprises are boosting GPU utilization and emphasizing uptime, reliability, and throughput as primary effectiveness metrics.
