Ex-Crips leader found guilty in 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur

Duane “Keffe D” Davis, former South Side Compton Crips leader, was convicted of murder with a deadly weapon for ordering and providing the gun used in Tupac Shakur’s September 7 1996 Las Vegas drive-by shooting. The verdict hinged on a 2008 police interview where Davis said he was in the car that fired the shots and his 2019 memoir describing his involvement. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 13.
