FBI Disrupts Chinese Proxy Tools Used in Mass Hacking of US Agencies and Infrastructure

The FBI and Justice Department seized domains used by QTRouter and QScan, two proxy tools operated by Chinese contractor Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology for the state-sponsored group QTFY. The tools harvested IoT botnets and commercial VPNs to relay attacks that reached the U.S. Senate, HHS, Federal Reserve, DOE, NIH, DOJ and numerous power, telecom, hospital, financial and defense entities.
