The FBI Doubles Down on Easing ‘Bestiality’ Hiring Standards

The FBI has revised hiring rules to allow applicants who committed bestiality or animal cruelty before age 18 to be considered, provided they are not in a public-trust role. The new policy also relaxes disqualifications for past theft, sex-work hiring, and other offenses that occurred more than three years ago. The changes, reportedly enacted in February 2025, aim to broaden the applicant pool while maintaining that criminal sexual conduct remains disqualifying.
