FedEx is buying 2,000 electric trucks for $300M, and investing in the company building them

FedEx ordered 2,000 electric delivery trucks from Harbinger for $300 million, with deliveries before the end of 2027. Each truck costs $103,000 and is a Class 5 or 6 model. Harbinger estimates each vehicle saves $20,000 annually, totaling $40 million in savings for the fleet. The fleet will avoid more than 1.7 million tons of CO2 over 20 years. FedEx led Harbinger’s $160 million Series C investment and placed an initial order for 53 trucks last year.
