Fighter jets help destroy Russian drone boat near European offshore gas platform

Romanian forces intercepted a Russian explosive-laden drone boat near the Neptun Deep offshore gas platform in the Black Sea on August 20, using an F-16’s cannon to disable it before explosive-ordnance experts conducted a controlled detonation. The platform, slated for full production in 2027, would make Romania the EU’s largest gas producer.
