Flight attendants freaked out that Google is buying tons of Spirit employee data

Google won an auction to acquire Spirit Airlines’ comprehensive employment and workplace records, excluding personal or customer information. A court-appointed ombudsman will strip any personally identifying information before transfer, and Google must keep the data de-identified, prohibiting intentional re-identification and requiring any downstream users to adhere to the same restrictions.
