Flock is testing a new AI tool that tracks and identifies people based on their driving habits

Flock is testing OS Investigate, an AI system that aggregates camera data from 6,000 communities to identify individuals by driving patterns. It lets officers search using location, time frame and behavior, cross-referencing vehicle movements with police case files, 911 logs and commercial identity records to generate names, addresses, relatives and friends, and includes a prompt-based chatbot. Critics warn that unrestricted prompts could enable broad, potentially abusive surveillance.
