Flock used >100 times to track veteran who recorded traffic stop
Napoleon Jones, a Navy veteran, recorded a traffic stop in a private parking lot on May 4 2025. Sheriff’s deputy Brandon Shayhorn later pulled him over again, demanded ID, and arrested him for “resisting and obstructing.” The deputy’s supervisor confirmed the second stop was unlawful. Jones filed a complaint. An investigation revealed over 100 Flock Safety searches of Jones’s white BMW, including 25 days after the incident, many conducted by Shayhorn. Jones added additional officers to his lawsuit for unlawful surveillance.
