Framework says it’s addressing a BIOS update that bricked some of its older laptops

A BIOS update (version 3.20) for Framework Laptop 13 models with AMD Ryzen 7040-series chips, released in July, has been reported to brick devices, leaving them stuck on the update screen on both Windows and Linux. Framework is replacing mainboards for customers with active warranties, while out-of-warranty owners are being told to purchase new boards.
