Framework's cheapest laptop just got a major spec bump

Framework Laptop 12 now ships with Intel Core 3, 5, or 7 processors, 8 GB, 16 GB, or 32 GB of RAM, and supports up to 48 GB. The new chips deliver up to 70% better battery life on the Core 5 model, add Thunderbolt 4 on two expansion cards, and enable faster DDR5 memory. Pre-built Linux models start at $699, while DIY versions begin at $549, with shipping slated for October.
