France's tax agency got hacked (in French)

The French tax authority DGFiP disclosed a breach that exposed a file of 678 000 records containing names, family quotients, fiscal income, withholding rates, addresses, phones, emails and dependents. Access was cut in late June, but exfiltration was discovered only after the data appeared for sale on 12 August. A separate attack on the cadastral server affected over two million people, and the Ministry of Education’s training system was compromised on 25-26 July, leaking staff personal and employment details back to 2001.
