Anthropic’s new report details extensive misuse of its Claude model over the past eight months, documenting state-sponsored hacking, cyber-criminal operations, disinformation campaigns, and attempts to develop bioweapons. Notable incidents include Russian group Midnight Blizzard leveraging Claude for reconnaissance and breaches of Ukrainian and other European government networks, and cyber-crime outfit ShinyHunters employing the model for illicit activities.
