Galbot’s robot performed more than 100 autonomous tennis rallies against former world No. 15 Zheng Jie at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, operating without teleoperation or scripted moves. Chinese state media reported ball speeds exceeding 100 km/h, a backward fall on a high loop, and recovery within seconds. The commercial G1 model is a wheeled dual-arm manipulator used in warehouses and pharmacies, backed by $800 million in funding and partners including Bosch, CATL, Toyota and Hyundai.
