GameCube vs PS2: Which retro console is more powerful?

The GameCube used a 485 MHz Gekko CPU and a Flipper GPU capable of rendering eight polygon layers per pass with built-in S3 texture compression, and it contained 40 MB of low-latency MoSys RAM. The PS2 featured a 295 MHz Emotion Engine, multi-pass rendering, and 32 MB of Rambus RAM, and it sold 160 million units worldwide compared with the GameCube’s 21.7 million.
