Gamma acquires Accel-backed design startup Lica

Gamma has acquired design startup Lica, founded in 2023 by Priyaa Kalyanaraman and Purvanshi Mehta, which raised $4 million from Accel, South Park Commons and Village Global and specializes in AI-driven marketing videos for e-commerce. The Lica founders will lead Gamma’s new design research lab, aiming to expand visual communication beyond presentations into fluid, multimodal formats and customized AI-generated content.
