Gemini Live gains agentic tasks, voice inbox control and personal intelligence

Google added four new capabilities to Gemini Live: spoken commands can launch background agents that operate across Docs, Sheets and Drive; users can control Gmail hands-free; a voice-based daily brief is now available; and a voice inbox control feature was introduced. Under its DMA settlement, Google must enable rival assistants to achieve comparable functionality on Android by July 2027.
