Costco now caps Kirkland Signature full-synthetic motor oil at two 10-quart cases per member every seven days, while the price of a case has risen to $57.99 from the mid-$30s. The restrictions stem from tighter lubricant supplies and higher production costs required to meet modern engine standards such as GM’s dexos1 Gen 3, API and ILSAC specifications.
